Retreat

This morning I received an email about a yoga retreat in Bali. I think it's a sign. I've been wanting to do this for years now. Anyone want to join me? Maybe a closer destination and obviously a later date. Sounds amazing. Meditation, yoga, organic food, spa, maybe a little beach time...

I tried to get my Zen on last week at a prenatal yoga class. It's not Bali, but it sure does my body good. Ran to my car after a much needed hour of bliss during a rainy evening. Turned the key and it sounded like Nascar. OMG...yeah, my car was making that noise. My husband was convinced someone stole my catalytic converter. (The device that converts the toxic exhaust into less harmful compounds. They are stolen frequently around the city.) What? I was furious! Who does that? To a pregnant woman, while in yoga! My $15 class was going to cost us our insurance deductible. In daylight, when we were able to check, he realized it was a part to the muffler that went bad (something like that), thankfully cost much less. I felt guilty for cussing out the not-so-perfect neighborhood, but still, I was robbed of my peaceful moment. Honestly, this stuff happens to me often so I thought for sure it was my luck.

Another week, another class. I think I'll go for a Sunday afternoon this time. After baby, I'm shopping me some new gear and getting my vinyasa and hot yoga back on. Have you been to lululemon yet? A store opened close to us. I'm anxious to get in there.

Love the stripes! Here's to getting daily peace back into my life.   :)

Rewind

Flew to San Francisco for an extra long weekend. One of my bestest gals got married!!! Three weddings in SF in one year! That's a record. Four CA trips in one year, I think I may sit next year out. I'm tired. Jet lag is an understatement. I felt unrested the entire trip, I couldn't even muster up energy to shop. We browsed which was nice. I drooled mostly over furniture. Clothes, saw good stuff, but wasn't eager to buy. Maybe I just missed my girl at home too much!

Was great to see old pals and my cousins, meet new peeps and experience the beautiful city once again. I think we hit every single neighborhood this trip, wedding, 80's party, several bars, hung out at the park, went to the coast, ate a lot, drank a lot  watched people drink a lot and finally got my husband to a Giant's game. He's been a long time fan and we missed games last fall by hours. Too bad I didn't take too many pics of our 80's gear. I went for the total nerd look. Awesome!

Saw this sofa while wondering around Hayes Valley. Want it or something like! My husband responds, "we need to get that couch when we no longer have pets in our home." :( that wasn't a very nice thing to say, but he's right...dog and cat would sneak up on there often. booo

Popped in Azalea Boutique as well. Ahhh, cool stuff. Saw a few things. Too expensive for my current budget, but adored enough to remember...

Much to catch up on. Especially blog reading. Did find time to see this post yesterday on Design Mom. Maternity clothing, ugh, I hated looking at them last pregnancy...I bought one pair of jeans, linen pants and a shirt, that's it. I was able to fit into summer maxi dresses and put my stretchy clothes to good use. Winter though, I have nothing! Asos has some cute stuff. We have yet another wedding coming up. I'm so thankful it's close to home...just a drive up the street. Loving this black beauty. Wondering how big my belly will be in November?? This is on sale!

This is cute too...little short maybe?

I'm thinking about it... shoot me a message if you know where to find some good belly clothing! I may just have to add two more pieces to my maternity wardrobe this year. ;)

Glad to be home, much to do. Catching up as fast as I can...

Busy Beeeee

What's going on here. LOTS. Double ear infection, missing cat, scratching dog, potty training, plans of adding on to our home, discussions of selling one of our homes, will it sell? will we have to wait to add on? planning the reorganization of entire home to fit baby, debating on finding out sex of baby, switched over to Direct TV, football, adding to my "what do we need" list, planning trip to San Fran this weekend, deciding what to wear (or what actually fits) to wedding, to 80's party and what else to pack for wknd, Dr's appts all around, missing work, catching up at work, nervous about lice breakout at daycare (so far so good), water filter shopping, lawn watering, excessive cleaning (yes the OCD has started already)...

The mini vaca will be nice. The easiest decision lately is what to eat. I can eat almost anything in site. Will probably have to blog inspiring thoughts when my mind is fresh from the west coast. So, till then...will leave you with this little sweet pea pic. She makes all the craziness worth it. Rory was playing dress up while mommy was trying on clothes last night.

We're Baaaack

Well, Klint and I made it home, but Rory is still vacationing with Grandparents. However, too much swimming gave her a bit of an ear infection; my little water bug. :( She's resting up for the holiday weekend. We had fun! fun! fun!!! Congrats to the beautiful couple! Our third destination wedding in one year! Will post pics later when I have the energy. For now, I'm so tired and only want to think about going back here...

Commuter

Indianapolis Bike To Work Day today. Oh how I should have. People who are responsible, is it seriously necessary to tear up every single main road in downtown Indianapolis this summer? We probably won't even get the Super Bowl! O M G... it is quite ridiculous how many sidewalks and roads are in pieces at the moment. You could work on some of the pot holes in Broad Ripple. That would be great. k. thx. bye.

OK, trying to tell me something ... we are biking all weekend long! If it's not raining 24/7. Maybe we should just fill the streets with water canals and call it Amsterdam as much rain as we've had, lack of roads and all the bikes around the circle today. It could happen, Indy, more bike trails please!!!! I adore the Netherlands; wishing I could go back after reading Design Mom this week. Visit her.

Check out some of these cool commuters. LOVE love love. I'm in search of a basket/storage bin for my hybrid.
This one looks like mine. I need that basket!

Sweet Townie SMG!

See, you can ride your bike in heals!

And a skirt (in Amsterdam...ok, I'm dreaming)

Now this is rad! Holy bucket!

Seriously cool ride

  Happy trails...
