We're Baaaack

Well, Klint and I made it home, but Rory is still vacationing with Grandparents. However, too much swimming gave her a bit of an ear infection; my little water bug. :( She's resting up for the holiday weekend. We had fun! fun! fun!!! Congrats to the beautiful couple! Our third destination wedding in one year! Will post pics later when I have the energy. For now, I'm so tired and only want to think about going back here...

40% OFF Everything!

Banana Republic. Run...cute new shipment out! I had to refrain myself from buying anything. :(  I want but I do not need and should not spend. However, I did find Rory this one piece for $10 at The Gap (Also 40% discount). I bought a bigger size so hopefuly she can wear it next summer too...shall see.  I liked the suit I found yesterday, but didn't love it. This color will look great on her! :) AND finally found myself a hat after trying on a gazillian the last month or so. Men's section H&M. Score. $9. Score. Sweet lil' shopping spree at lunch.

See, it happened!

Bathing suit dilemma continued. Kept an H&M suit thinking... it's cute enough, it'll work or maybe I can find another before our beach trip. Yep, this weekend I flashed what felt like hundreds of people at Splashin' SAFARI's little tike area. I tried like hell to get around a boy when flying down a tiny slide with Rory. While also wildly avoiding the submersion of my child, we scraped our knees, gulped some water and I stood up unknowingly with my boob hanging out. Oh yeah, facing all the parents watching their children go down the slides. Maybe a one piece is a better option while acting like a child with my child? Thx little man who took his sweet time off the slide. ;)  It's ok, Rory was laughing. At least it was fun for her!

I'm thinking she and I both need a stylish one piece to keep us covered up a bit at the beach. We are also still on a hat search. Suggestions?

I'm in search of a swimsuit. I always rely on J. Crew, but this year I don't want to spend a lot on something I wear like three times; and I'm not finding one I'm in love with from their collection. NOTHING I own fits me. I mean seriously, post baby body is weird. Fortunately, smaller, but weirder. It's like every bottom sags or my bottom sags. Smaller chest...oh yes, breast feeding is so nutritious but kills the figure.

H&M had some cute ones, but I had to grab a bigger size in one bikini to cover a bit more bun.  Is it just me or is everything on the cheaper side so incredibly teensie tiny?  AND I'm afraid if I go bigger it will fall off when it's wet! That would make a great family vacation story. Yikes.

I adored the burnt orange bandeau top & bikini I bought at H&M, but no straps. I need a strap for backup. Carrying toddler in arms will most likely result in some sort of boob mishap. I think I'm making returns today. Back to the search... have you seen anything cute and affordable?

Smoldering Brick

Oh well, J. Crew, might just have to go back to your reliable basics. I'm liking this suit in the brick color. Not loving, but...really likable.

Off to Pilates. Beach in one month!
